Happy Tuesday Parents!
We had a fabulous day here in grade 3! We began our day with
math where we had a review period for our test tomorrow! Our test will cover
grids, turns, slides, reflections, and symmetry. I have sent a review package
home tonight that we began in class today!
In language we worked on our poems or students finished up
their city skyline reflections from UOI yesterday! The poems sound fantastic
and I am so excited about how engaged the students are with their poem!
After lunch, recess, and French, we had UOI where we learned
about natural resources and landforms. We began with a matching game to learn
about landforms. We then learned about natural and unnatural resources by
grouping items based on whether they were unnatural or natural. We even went a
step further to go talk about renewable and non-renewable resources. The
students were very interested in which items would come back and those that
were finite. Our definition wall is filling up fast!!
After second lunch and recess I led another short review
period to allow the students to ask any more important questions before our
motion geometry test tomorrow! It will be a short test!
We ended the day with gym and agendas before heading off to
kiss and ride!
Important Reminders:
- Math test tomorrow: Review packages sent home (very short unit!)
- Spelling lesson 17 due Friday!
- Re-registration deadline is two days away! Get your package in before we open up spots to the public!!
Have a wonderful evening!
