Happy Tuesday Parents!

We began our day today with math where we began our new unit on Patterns in Numbers! Today we looked at different number patterns and learned how to write a pattern rule. Students worked in groups in order to identify patterns and come up with a pattern rule!

In language we learned about comparing and contrasting characters in books. We read a book from when I was a student, "Miss Nelson is Missing" and compared Miss Nelson to Miss Swamp! The students then used their amazing descriptive language skills to describe Miss Nelson and Miss Swamp beyond what the book does!

After lunch and recess we had UOI and the students were eager to share their AMAZING Stuart Little final chapters! I cannot tell you enough how much I have seen their writing improve this term! It is fantastic!

After french, second lunch, and recess we came back and learned some more ways to add detail to our stories using Onomonopeia's Alliteration, Personification, and Metaphors! The class seemed excited about the difference literary devices and I am hoping that these will allow them to expand their writing even further!

We ended the day with gym and agendas before heading off to kiss and ride!
