We had an amazing end to a busy week here in grade 3! We began by supporting our grade 6 students by attending exhibition topics! They clearly worked so hard and it is amazing to see them finish their PYP education!
After lunch, recess, and French we came back to class and had a math lesson on sorting figures in Venn Diagrams based on attributes (angles, side length, number of sides, etc). We worked on this for a while as some students needed some refreshers on how to use a Venn Diagram.
After second lunch and recess we worked on identifying key components of a persuasive essay. Students learned about having a strong voice throughout writing, students answered comprehension questions and will use this reading to help them write their own persuasive essays!
We ended the day with gym and agendas before heading off to kiss and ride.
Important Reminders:
- Math homework sheets were sent home
- Reading comprehension (ONE Full page at least, in cursive writing please!)
- Sign and Return Spelling Test
- More school essay homework if it was not completed in class.
- We haven't had any action for Plants and Soils Unit so far! Let's encourage students to be inquirers!
Have a wonderful weekend!
