Good Afternoon Parents!

Our second day of school went incredibly well as we established more of a routine! Thank you for sending your children in their gym clothes, it worked out incredibly well and students had more time for gym class; please send them in their gym clothes again tomorrow.

Today we had a math pre-assessment for our upcoming unit on Patterns in Addition and Subtraction. 

I am incredibly proud of how respectful students were of each other throughout the writing process. Students worked very hard today throughout the math period.

We participated in a very fun house game, and then the students were off to French. In Language we worked on establishing goals for the year by writing letters to our future selves.

We ended the day working on learning our Learner Profiles. Students worked in groups to decorate signs for our classroom and brainstorm the meaning of each character trait. We will be working on this again tomorrow as students are taking great care and consideration to be mindful and reflective.

Some important notes:

• ·         Our lunch order forms are due tomorrow for the hot lunch program; please send that along with the money with your child if they would like to order a hot lunch.
• ·         Recorder forms are also due as soon as possible please send them back with your children as well. Even if they have a recorder at home to use please send back the form indicating they do not need one.
• ·         Tomorrow is Friday and we are to wear our house colours! Please send your child wearing blue, orange, or green, for their associated house colour.
• ·         We went to library today, and students took out books, they are allowed to take them home with them but are responsible for the safety and return of the book (I will let children know when we are exchanging books). I have a list of what student has which book.
