We had a great day here in third grade! We began our day with math where we focused on responding to division word problems! We then learned to identify whether a word problem is asking you to divide or multiply using the following chart:
During language time we began our UOI work, today we learned about graphic novels! The students were incredibly knowledgeable and used their thinking skills in order to identify the difference between a graphic novel and a regular novel. We learned about illustrations and dialogue and how they are both very important in a graphic novel!
After lunch, recess, and French, the class came back and we had more time to create our very own comic strips!
Iyaad was an Action Star today! I am so proud of him! He brought in an amazing book that helps come up with creative writing ideas! He also wrote his own story and shared it with the class! Great work! I am so amazed by all of the action so far this unit! Fantastic job grade 3's!
After second lunch and recess we ended the day with music, gym and agendas before heading off to kiss and ride!

- Spelling Lesson 23 due Thursday
- Math sheet from class is homework if it wasn't completed
- Comic is homework if it wasn't completed in class.

- Cultural Market being held by Oakwood Academy on Thursday selling trinkets, bracelets, and other toys and nick-nacks.

- Updated parent-teacher interview forms were sent home today-please disregard old ones and use the new information.
