We had a great day yesterday in third grade! We began our day with math where we moved on to counting money. The class was fantastic at adding coins and bills to count money. We worked on showing money in more than one way by using different combinations of coins and bills. They really enjoyed learning about money!
In language we finally began exploring our country or International-mindedness day next Friday! We first read a book about Egypt and some of the students shared items that they have brought in form Egypt with the class! They class was shocked to find out that cities in Egypt looked alot like our cities! We then spoke a little bit about ancient Egypt and we wrote out our names in hieroglyphics! I am very excited to have parents guess whose name is whose next Friday!
We ended the day with a classroom clean, gym, and agendas, before playing a quick game and heading off to kiss and ride!

The Grade Ones will be turning their classrooms into grocery stores for our Organization unit. The students have been working really hard to stock it full of healthy snacks and drinks. On Tuesday Jan. 17th we will be opening our stores to SJA classes to purchase healthy snacks and drinks for $1-2. All proceeds will be donated to the Sick Kids Hospital.
