Happy Thursday Parents!
We had a very busy day here in grade 3! We began our day
with ArtReach! I went with the students who signed up for ArtReach to the
auditorium where we painted a wonderful picture on canvas! It was amazing to
see the students who were so excited about art! The students who didn’t sign up
were not left out! They were in the class making decorations for the Christmas
concert with Mrs. Smith!
After lunch, recess, and French we had an IB lesson on the
new month’s learner profile attribute. This month we are focussing on
communicators! We began by reading a book and discussing how the book related
to being a communicator. We then played two different games that showed how
important it is to be a good communicator, and use your words, body language,
and other forms of communication to express your feelings! We played broken
telephone, where we learned about the importance of telling someone something
directly or the message might get changed, and we played identify the object
which stressed how sometimes it can be difficult to use our words to
communicate an idea and the importance of using the right words!
After second lunch and recess we came back to class and
discussed ordinal numbers again, I felt as though some of the students had a hard
time with the homework so I wanted to go over it in more detail!
We finished the day with gym and agendas before heading off
to kiss and ride!
Important Reminders:
- Spelling Test tomorrow!
- Food and Toy donations (we haven’t received any in our class yet!)
- Read 25 minutes
Have a wonderful night!
