Happy Tuesday Parents!
We began our day here in grade 3 with math! We started by
covering some of the math review questions that were written wrong on the
review. We then covered some of the questions that the students had trouble
with on the homework. We then spent the period working on review for our test
on Thursday. We paused to focus on any questions the students had trouble with
and I circulated to offer one-on-one help where needed.
We then had our very first “brain break” we played teacher
says (like Simon Says) in between math and beginning Language. Once we
completed our brain break the students got their wiggles out and were much more
focussed in class. For language the students learned how to make an effective
prediction based on the clues in the beginning of the text, the pictures, and
the title of the story.
After recess, lunch, and French the students then worked on
UOI where we learned about magnetic force. We began by learning that magnets
can cause both a push and a pull force! We then were inquirers again and saw if
different objects were magnetic or not. We ended the lesson by adding magnetic
force to our list of UOI Word Wall.
After second lunch and recess, we had music with Mr. Oliver,
and Gym with Mr. H. We ended the day with completing agendas before heading off
to kiss and ride!
