Happy Monday Parents!

It is a short week as we are approaching our Easter weekend! We began our day today with our math pre-test for our new unit of Patterns in Numbers and Geometry! After the students completed the pre-test we had time to work on perfecting our story paragraphs. We went over the criteria for a good story paragraph and then the students perfected their own! They were provided with time in language to finish their own paragraphs.

After lunch, recess, and French we came back to class and discussed how the Stuart Little story ended. We talked about what makes a good ending to a story and then the students brainstormed how they can re-write the ending of the novel to make one that they would be happy with!
The class then worked hard to add another chapter to the book that allowed the story to end in a way that made them happier as readers using the techniques for ending a story that we discussed in class.

After second lunch and recess the class was provided with more time to complete their novel ending!
We ended the day with gym and agendas before heading off to kiss and ride.
