Happy Thursday Parents!

We began our day today with a super special and exciting crime mystery! The students read a mystery about teachers at the school and used their elapsed time knowledge in order to solve the mystery! They had so much fun and we brought the “suspects” into the classroom in order to help us figure out who committed the crime! In the end all of the students were able to figure out who stole Mr. H and were able to work effectively as a group!

For language we worked on inferencing, we began by going over what inferencing is again, and then we worked on reading and responding to reading comprehension questions using our inferencing skills.

After lunch, recess, and French, we came back to class and worked on UOI. We focussed on Chemical Energy today which occurs when a chemical reaction happens and produces energy. For example a battery is stored chemical energy, and when put in a toy car can cause it to move! The class grouped and sorted examples, and then came up with their own examples! It is amazing to have so many great thinkers in our class!

After second lunch and recess the class ended the day with music and gym before completing agendas and heading off to kiss and ride!

Important Reminders:
  • Elapsed time page question 10 (students can do it on the back of the sheet)
  • Read 25 minutes
  • Continue to bring in items for international mindedness day (Egypt)
  • Re-registration packages

Have a wonderful evening!
