Happy Monday Parents!

We began our day with math review in preparation for our test on Wednesday. I have sent home a math challenge to some students tonight that will be a bonus question on our math test. The math review is due tomorrow so that I can ensure that all of the students are ready for their test.

In language we finished out LHBW novel! The students are very excited and a little sad that we have finished the novel. We finished the novel with comparing ourselves to one of the main characters in the book. We used specific details from the novel to relate ourselves to the character that we are most like. We were great thinkers and reflectors!

After recess, lunch, and French, we worked on UOI, we used a large world map to discover where the pioneers had come from and to look at the journey that they travelled. We then coloured in our own world maps to show where they came from and where they came to. The students loved looking at the map and looking at where their family came from, where the pioneers came from, in comparison to North America.

After second lunch and recess we worked on writing our spelling in our agendas and then completed our LHBW work from earlier today. After gym we came back and had just enough time to play find the thimble before kiss and ride.


Art Reach: St. Jude’s Academy is excited to welcome back to our school the talented artists from ArtReach Mississauga to lead exciting art workshops for our students.  Students will have a chance to join the ArtReach professionals for a two hour workshop at SJA that focuses on engaging and comprehensive visual art activities. ArtReach will be joining SJA on November 30th, December 1st and December 2nd. The cost of the workshop is $15.00.  This cost includes the workshop fee, and all materials.  Forms and fees are due back to the school by November 3rd, 2016.

  • Math review due tomorrow: Test Wednesday. I have sent home a challenge to some students that will be bonus for the test.
