Hello Parents!

We had a great day back in Grade 3! We began with our math test-the students all worked independently and from what I have seen so far all of the grade 3’s did incredibly well on the test! After our math test we read chapter 4 of LHBW. We read about Laura’s Christmas traditions and then compared her holiday traditions to our own in a Venn Diagram.

After Lunch, Recess, and French we came back to class and had time to work on organizing our safety information for our UOI brochures. The students are all so interested in this projects and are being wonderful thinkers, and inquirers!

We had another Action Star here in Grade 3! Our friend Caitlyn set the dinner table for her Thanksgiving dinner using her knowledge from our UOI unit! It is great to see our class taking initiative and using their skills outside of the classroom!

After UOI, second Lunch and Recess we had music and gym. The students then came back for agendas before kiss and ride!

Important Information:

• -Spelling Workbook Lesson 4 Due Friday
• -Read 25 minutes and Log in Logbook.
• -Sign and Return Friendship Story (sorry about the delay in getting these back-we want to keep them here at school if the students choose to keep them in their IB binders, they were all SO well done!)
• -The movie night forms and money are due ASAP; the SJA parent guild is holding a movie night, last year this was a really fun event and a way to get students involved in the school outside of the classroom! If you need another form please let me know!
• -If you have not already, send me an email or write a note in your child’s agenda to let me know how you wish to be contacted as our term comes to an end (email or phone).
