Happy Monday Parents!

We had a busy day here in grade 3, trying to get used to our new schedule! Thank you so much for sending your kids to school in their regular uniforms!

We began with Math and played a short game to learn about identifying missing numbers in fact families!

Afterward we were introduced to the new spelling words, and students had time to work in their spelling books.

The students enjoyed the 30 minutes of recess and 30 minute lunch they had more time to run around and play!

We then focused on learning how to write creative sentences to catch our reader’s attention (2A sentences). Students then worked on their introductions of their friendship stories for UOI.

Today was our friend Aarnav’s birthday! We celebrated by singing Happy Birthday and eating a treat!

At the end of the day we had Music and Gym.

Important reminders:

-Math homework is page 36/37 in the Math Workbook

-Spelling Lesson 2 is due by Friday; new spelling words are posted on the Spelling section of the blog.

-Students also have their introduction of their friendship stories as homework tonight, please have them complete this, the criteria was also sent home with them on a sheet of paper to remind them of what they need to include.

-Reading logs were sent home today, please track your child’s reading and send back the log on next Monday to be checked again!

-Terry Fox pledge forms were sent home today, please try your best to help you child collect pledges. We are trying to raise 4,000 dollars at SJA! Help us meet our goal!

-Please ensure your child’s uniform is labelled!
