I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Our morning was spent cheering on the JK-Grade 2 spelling bee contestants in the auditorium!
Afterward we had time for some math review before lunch and recess.
After French we focused on 3D shapes, we talked about edges, verticies, and faces, and then we discussed what figures make up a 3D shape. For example a cube is made up of 6 congruent squares, or a square-based pyramid is made up of 4 congruent triangles and a square. Students seemed to grasp this concept quite well while they were able to look at the nets of 3D shapes to see the different figures.
During UOI time we learned about what animals live in soil before starting our Parts of Soil Art. The class seems to have a good understanding of parts of soil and what types of animals live in the soil as their diagrams are coming along nicely!
We ended the day with gym and agendas before heading off to kiss and ride.
Important Reminders:
- Math homework pg. 70-71
- Read 25 minutes
- Spelling Lesson 29 Due Thursday and Test Thursday
Have a wonderful evening!
