We began our day today with Math where we focused on sorting solids using Venn Diagrams! The class is getting better at counting edges (lines), vertices (points), and faces (flat sides). Please have them check over their homework again to correct any mistakes from yesterday.
In language time we had our spelling bee! We had two students from grade 2 join us as they are working in the grade 3 spelling book. The entire class was amazing and I am so proud of their continued effort! Moving forward for our group is Emana, and Hayden (from the grade 2 class). A special mention to Emaan who stuck through until the very end and was spelling grade 4 words!
After lunch and recess we had UOI where we learned about photosynthesis. We watched a Bill Nye video and the class completed a comprehension sheet to assess their understanding. We had time to work on some Arts Night things before French and second lunch and recess.
We ended the day with action stars! Then with a few more story presentations before gym and agendas.
