We had an amazing day here in grade 3! We began with a short language lesson to teach the students about persuasion in the world around us. We look at features of advertisements and came up with ideas that they had in common. Students then made their own advertisements. We will use this to translate it into our persuasive speech writing!
Afterward we had a short UOI lesson on the parts of soil. Students looked at their soil samples and thought about how they have changed over night. Students noticed that there seemed to be layers in the soil! We learned that those layers are made up of clay, silt, and sand! Students then learned about how we can tell what is in soil by the texture of the texture!
After lunch and recess those students who were not attending the trip made their way to French and the rest of us boarded the bus for the play place! We had so much fun it was amazing!
When we arrived back at school we completed agendas and headed to kiss and ride!
