Happy Wednesday Parents!
Today we began math where we learned how to transform a data
set into a bar graph. The students learned about the importance of labelling
the axis, and also about keeping the scale consistent. The students each made their
own bar graph and we will have more work on creating bar graphs in the next
couple of lessons.
In language we read the next chapter of LHBW, we are nearing
the end of the book! This chapter the students learned about how Laura and her
family spend the summer in the Big Woods. The students were asked to complete a
journal entry that related our knowledge of fractions to the story. They were
asked how they would split two cookies evenly between three people, as Laura
had to do in the book!
After lunch, recess, and French we continued with our UOI
presentations-stay tuned for those presentations to be posted on the blog! We
finished all of our amazing presentations today and that concludes our Manners
and Safety unit! We then had some time to organize our work to be put into our
IB binders-which we will finish tomorrow!
After second lunch and recess the students had music and gym
before coming back to complete agendas!
