This short week is almost over! We began our day here in grade 3 with math where we are learning about fractions of a set! The class has been fantastic at identifying fractions of a set and fractions of a whole! Some of our students are even making the connection between fractions like 6/12 and 1/2, which is great level 4 thinking!
In language we worked on our poems! Tomorrow students will be presenting for me and the class. Some students are still working on memorizing their poems and they need to do some more poem practice at home in order to ensure that they are prepared for their presentation on Tuesday. Again the expectation is for the poems to be memorized and for the students to have accompanying actions.
After lunch, recess, and French we began working on a Community Book, where students are using their knowledge of different communities that we learned about in class in order to create a book. They are coming along very nicely and students will be bringing them home this weekend in order to ensure that they are completed to the best of their ability. I see many great thoughts being applied!
We ended the day with music, gym, and agendas before heading off to kiss and ride.
