We began our day today with our math test! I have already marked most of the math tests and it is clear that the class was very well-prepared as the marks look fantastic so far! I am very proud of the grade 3's for learning so much in such a short period of time.
In language we worked on authors purpose. We used the term P.I.E in order to describe different authors purposes: to persuade, inform, and entertain! We had a fun activity where students had to read different passages and cut and paste them into the right column based on the authors purpose!
After lunch, recess, and french we began a small UOI project! The class was broken into groups and given a different community. They will be becoming the experts on their community and they will present their findings to the class. Some of the students are researching fishing communities, others are researching mining communities, farming communities, or forestry communities!
After second lunch and recess we came back and worked on practicing our poems for a little while before completing agendas. We ended the day with gym and a quick game before heading off to kiss and ride!
